The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager based in the Houston area to help grow our presence across healthcare and institutional accounts throughout Texas.

This is a relationship-driven role focused on prospecting, networking, account growth, and uncovering opportunities within large organizations.

You will spend most of your time meeting with clients and prospects, visiting facilities, attending industry events, and building relationships.

This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, entrepreneurial, organized, and comfortable working independently while staying closely connected with leadership.

What You'll Do

  • Prospect and build relationships with hospitals, universities, and institutional organizations
  • Grow activity within existing accounts by identifying new departments and opportunities
  • Network through LinkedIn, trade shows, referrals, cold outreach, and in-person visits
  • Conduct facility walkthroughs and identify surplus equipment and assets
  • Build relationships with supply chain, facilities, biomedical, warehouse, and administrative teams
  • Coordinate internally to help move opportunities from discovery to auction
  • Maintain consistent follow-up and account activity

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of proven B2B sales and business development experience
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-directed and highly proactive
  • Comfortable networking and meeting people in person
  • Organized with strong follow-through
  • Able to communicate effectively with both executives and operational teams
  • Motivated by growth, ownership, and performance-based compensation

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $70,000–$80,000 depending on experience
  • Uncapped commission structure tied directly to revenue growth and account expansion
  • Successful performers are expected to earn $120,000+ annually

  • Paid time off and holidays

Travel & Work Environment

  • Majority of time spent meeting with clients and prospects throughout Texas
  • Most travel is day trips within driving distance, with occasional overnight travel
